Lights One of Masonry’s founding and guiding principles is the concept of charity. To give of one’s self to help another is certainly one of life’s highest attainments. The Masonic Service and Assistance Fund of the Grand Lodge of Wisconsin is the instrument that allows Masons of Wisconsin to apply these concepts to their daily lives.

What does the Service and Assistance Fund Do?

  • Programs that improve the quality of life for veterans at the four VA hospitals in the state---Tomah, Wood, King and Madison.
  • Natural disaster relief on a state level, like the assistance the Fund was able to provide to the residents of Barneveld, after the 1984 tornado which devastated the small town.
  • Assistance for Grand Lodges across the country who are organizing relief efforts for natural disaster.
  • Spot relief for other unsuspected, yet devastating occurrences. These occurrences include:
    • Barneveld tornado,1984
    • Peshtigo Fire, 1871
    • Oklahoma City tornado, 1998
    • Grand Forks flooding, 1997
    • North Carolina severe snow storm, 1999
    • Mississippi River flooding, 1993
